Welcome to Sharp Circle
We walk alongside young people ages 16–25 as they come home from incarceration. Our mentors have traveled the same road and done the hard work to build lives they're proud of — so they're living proof, not a lecture. We meet each young person at the moment everything can change.
About Sharp Circle
Our Experience
For more than four years, we've prepared justice-involved young people for court and for reentry — in partnership with San Francisco and Monterey County Juvenile Probation and community organizations across California. Our mentors bring lived experience; our leadership brings decades of work supporting young people.
Our Approach
We don't believe in fixing people — we believe in backing them. Real change comes from three things working together: a trusted relationship with someone who's been there, a concrete plan the young person owns, and real-world proof that a different life is possible. That's what makes it last.
Why Us?
Plenty of programs offer support. We offer credibility that runs deeper than a shared past: our mentors have been where these young people are — including incarceration — and have gone on to build the very lives they're reaching for. Matched one-on-one, same gender, across California, they don't just share a past — they model an achieved future. We invest in that future, not manage a past.
